THE JOURNEY
Rooted in the inspiration of the island back in 2017, the Bozcaada Jazz Festival has grown far beyond a music event over its decade-long journey. It has transformed into a collective memory space, beautifully woven into the fabric of the island, its people, and a forward-thinking vision nurtured over the years.
Every September, we bring together thousands of festival-goers in Bozcaada to immerse themselves in the spirit of improvisation, the island's signature breeze, fresh ideas, and meaningful encounters.
THE PROGRAM
At the heart of the festival lies our music program. Over the past decade, it has united timeless jazz artists across eras and genres—musicians who have left a lasting impression on our collective consciousness—while continuing to welcome fresh projects and emerging talents to our stage.
Alongside the main stage, the KEŞİF (Discovery) program has evolved over the years into the true backbone of the festival, weaving itself throughout the entire island. Offering a curated selection that ranges from culinary experiences and nature walks to impact-driven dialogues and hands-on workshops, it serves as a melting pot where creative professionals and pioneers of change cross paths with festival-goers and locals around culture, technology, entrepreneurship, design, and island life.
ADVOCACY
We don't just produce a festival; we align the unifying power of music with deep social responsibility. We actively work to integrate our core values of gender equality, ecological transformation, and social inclusivity into every layer of the festival, taking concrete steps to foster a sustainable cultural ecosystem.
As a member of the Europe Jazz Network, a co-founder of the Turkey Jazz Network, and a Keychange signatory, we prioritize playing an active, accountable, and transformative role both locally on the island and across the global arts and culture landscape.
In September 2026, we celebrate our 10th anniversary. Guided by this year’s overarching theme, "Impermanence," which will resonate across every detail of our program, we explore the beauty of change and the present moment while saluting the infinite possibilities of jazz.
