Esmiyor and BCF teams came together, and asked a very important question that some might think it’s impossible and some might think it’s absolutely necessary: “Can we make Bozcaada carbon neutral?”. Although this is a plan for tomorrow, it requires immediate action today. ?
South Korea’s largest island Jeju aims to go carbon neutral by 2030. Jeju is larger than Bozcaada 450 times by land, 250 times by population. Therefore, is it possible to do the same thing in Bozcaada? Such a project requires a collaborative effort by everyone from energy production to agriculture, from waste management to tourism and from education to transportation.
