Big Vicious is a project that formed in Israel, marking the return of the charismatic trumpeter Avishai Cohen back to his homeland, thus paying tribute to his earlier years. Cohen’s high school friend, Uzi Ramirez, is on guitar, Yonatan Albalak, who has been playing with Cohen through various bands since the early 2000s, is on guitar and bass, and Aviv Cohen is on drums. Ziv Ravitz, included as the second drummer in this eclectic group, bringing forward the colors and energy of Avishai’s acoustic quartet, touring extensively on the Big Vicious stage.

“We’re all coming from jazz, but some of us left it earlier”, says Avishai, revealing the trademark of Big Vicious. The band creates a distinctive sound by blending electronica, ambiance, and psychedelia with rock, pop, and trip-hop beats. The essence of Big Vicious lives through the talented musicians who stem from diverse musical backgrounds and have successfully incorporated their influences into the group’s collective sound.
